About Dr Vikas Veerwal:
After finishing his post graduation in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi (Ranked amongst top 5 colleges in India), Dr Vikas Veerwal worked as Senior Resident in Guru Nanak Eye Centre (MAMC). He then pursued his long-term fellowship in Cornea, cataract and refractive surgery from the esteemed LV Prasad Eye Institute at Hyderabad (Ranked No.1 eye institute in India). He also worked as faculty at LV Prasad eye institute, Visakhapatnam.
With over 12 years of experience in Ophthalmology, Dr Vikas excels in advanced cataract surgery techniques (including Femto-Cataract and MICS- Micro-incision cataract surgery). He has performed more than 7500+ cataract surgeries with a near 100% success rate. He has been able to handle challenging complicated cases to provide best possible outcomes to his patients. He has been instrumental in training many young surgeons to achieve their potential as clinicians of the future. His zeal to provide ethical, transparent, and personalized care to every patient is what makes him stand out from the crowd.
He has vast experience in performing all forms of refractive surgeries (including ICL, SMILE, LASIK/Contoura LASIK, PRK, Epicontoura) as well as all types of advanced corneal procedures. He has performed more than 1000 refractive procedures successfully and is a well-known refractive surgeon in Delhi-NCR region.
He has performed more than 500 corneal transplants and has immense experience in all forms of advanced corneal procedures like DALK, DSAEK, DMEK, AMG, Corneal tattooing, Stem cell transplant (SLET), Pterygium surgery, etc.
Keratoconus and corneal ectasia has been his key areas of interest. He has specific expertise in this area and has successfully managed more than 500 patients of keratoconus so far. Keratoconus requires customizable treatment for every patient, and he has been able to provide the needed expert care to all his patients.

- Awarded ARC innovators award for a novel technique of performing SMILE refractive surgery in 2023
- He has developed a new technique for dissection in SMILE surgery.
