Dr. Rajesh Khanna graduated from UCMS & Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi in 1985 and completed his M.S. in Ophthalmology from Maulana Azad Medical College and associated Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi in 1992. Because of special interest in oculoplastics, he went for “Observership in Oculoplasty and Glaucoma” at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London in May-June 2003.
Dr Rajesh is having 27 years of experience with special interest oculoplastic and squint surgery. He has huge experience in oculoplastic surgeries such as lacrimal sac surgeries (DCR, lacrimal intubation, canaliculo-DCR, probing in congenital duct block); eyelid surgeries (ptosis correction, entropion and ectropion surgeries, lid retraction in thyroid patients, punctum blockage); eyelid trauma; contracted eye socket surgery; orbital surgeries. Dr Khanna has also performed many squint operations apart from amblyopia (lazy eye) management and medical management of squint in children.
Dr Khanna worked as Chief Eye Surgeon at Rotary Eye Hospital (supported by Operation Eyesight Universal, Calgary, Canada), Palampur, Himachal Pradesh and performed various eye operations with special interest in ophthalmic plastic surgery..
Dr. Rajesh had the opportunity to go abroad and work in Malaysia (June 1997 until November 2007) as Consultant Ophthalmologist at Government hospitals at state level in Malaysia.
