Preparation

• Upon arrival, you’ll receive anesthetic eye drops to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. A device keeps your eyes open, allowing our surgeons to work with precision.

Creating the Flap

• Using either a microkeratome blade or a femtosecond laser, a thin flap is created in the cornea. This flap is gently lifted, preparing the cornea for reshaping.

Reshaping the Cornea

• The excimer laser, customized to your specific vision correction needs, precisely reshapes the corneal tissue. This step corrects refractive errors, allowing light to focus correctly on the retina.

Completing the Procedure

• The corneal flap is carefully repositioned, adhering naturally without the need for stitches. The entire process takes about 20-30 minutes for both eyes, with the laser application lasting only a few seconds per eye.

Immediate Aftercare

• After a brief post-operative check, you can go home. Most patients notice an improvement in vision almost immediately, with further enhancements in the days following.
